About

The History
Princess Anastasia of Montenegro was initially married to Prince George Romanosky, the nephew of the last Tsar Nicholas II. Known as the Monetenegrin princess she was most famous for introducing the Tsarina to Rasputin. After her first husband's death she married her second husband Grand Duke Michael, the Tsar's cousin and Leader of the Imperial armies. After fleeing from the revolution the Duchess and Grand Duke Michael stayed as guests of various European royal families and for a period the Duke was temporarily made 'Tsar in exile' by the White Russians. They arrived in Antibes in 1927 and together built this beautiful villa.
