1035 Chem. de la Garoupe  This is a lovely restaurant on Plage Garoupe - its a beautiful bay and unsurprisingly they've snagged the best bit. It's a favourite of ours for lunch at the weekend. You can enjoy a refreshing swim either before or after or let the kids swim and play while you eat.

Eden-Roc Restaurant Boulevard J. F. Kennedy What's not to like? There's a reason Leonardo Di Caprio hosts his party here each year at the Cannes film festival. The most amazing food, wine, view and service in the most gorgeous and glamorous of settings. This restaurant absolutely deserves its Michelin star. The best place for an incredible special occasion.

Hotel Belles Rives 33 Bd Edouard Baudoin 38 locals recommend The hotel where F Scott Fitzgerald wrote Tender is the Night. An art deco tour de force. It has a wonderful waterside beach restaurant with a fabulous view over the water- make sure to ask for the beach restaurant even though its actually a water level terrace as it has the best water and sunset views.

Les Vieux Murs 25 Prom. Amiral de Grasse  Les Vieux Murs is set in to the old town walls next door to the chateau Grimaldi -this has the best uninterrupted views straight out over the ramparts as the sun sets on the Med. As well as being an excellent restaurant in the evening provides outdoor seating and coffee on the ramparts in the day with panoramic views.

La Maison de Bacon 664 Boulevard de Bacon Set on the coastal road that rides around the Cap this has jaw dropping views across the bay to Nice and Monaco. Try and get a table on the outdoor balcony terrace to take full advantage.  This is a fish speciality restaurant with classic and modern dishes.  Its also a beautiful walk downhill along the coast back to the villa
